Allergy is also caused by food, due to the over reaction of immune system to the food proteins. The immune system produces increased amount of globulin. These react with protein or allergens, and chemicals are released, which result in widening of blood vessel and contract smooth muscles and affect skin areas to become red, itchy and swollen.
